Wild Duck Recipes

One of my personal favorites and easy wild duck recipes, simple crock pot fowl.

Wild Duck Recipe

Simple BBQ Crock Pot Duck Recipe

Ingredients

4 duck breasts sliced 1/4″ thick (across the grain)
2 containers of your favorite BBQ sauce
Sandwhich buns
Salt

This is a wild duck recipe that we use all the time. While I like some game taste that duck offers, most do not. So you’ll want to cut off a bit of the wild duck flavor. To do this, I’ll cut up the duck into 1/4″ strips and will throw them in a bowl of cold water and add plenty of salt. I will then massage the breasts to get all the blood out of the breasts. Drain and rinse repeatedly.

Pat dry the duck breast strips, and put them in a crock pot and turn on low. Fill with your favorite BBQ sauce until all the duck strips are covered. Let this cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Now you can take some of the strips, but on sandwhich or hamburger buns and ad your favorite toppings (I like just mustard). It’s that easy and that good! Try this wild duck recipe.
