Crockpot Elk Stew Recipe

Ingredients:
elk meat 3 lbs- cut into 1″ cubes
2 large onions- chopped
3 large potatoes- cut into 1″ cubes
1/2 lb large carrots- cut into 1/2″ chunks
3-4 garlic cloves- minced
salt and pepper- to taste
garlic and onion powder- to taste
2 tbsp flour -to coat meat
1 qt beef stock
water
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup ketchup
Directions:
Start by sprinkling elk meat with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Then lightly coat the elk meat in the flour. Brown the meat in frying pan with olive oil. After that add to the crockpot.
Next add onions in pan to brown them as well. Thrown in the minced garlic at the end, then add all to crockpot.
Now add remaining ingredients and vegetables to the crockpot and mix together.
Place crockpot on low(180) for 8 hrs or until meat and veggies are tender.
